Cărturești has two absolutely spectacular bookstores in Bucharest. It was difficult for us to choose one of them, both being at the top of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Cărturești Verona was the Bookstore of the Year at the London Book Fair. We recommend you to visit the Cărturești Carousel, in the Old Center. It has a unique interior design, whose sinuous shapes, byzantine marble colonnades and spiral staircases create the feel of a moving carousel.
ProTip: Go up to the top floor, to Bistro Carousel, the best place to admire the bookstore, and enjoy one of the delicious raw vegan desserts and an organic coffee.
